Important Information Regarding
Unfortunately there is a national shortage of some medicines - this is outside of our control and affects all pharmacies in the country.
This has been due to drug suppliers and wholesalers selling drugs abroad (for higher profits), which were originally intended for patients in the UK.
Some medicines are now supplied to pharmacies using a quota system, which means that we are allocated a fixed amount per month and are not able to obtain further supplies until the following month.
Here at the Health Centre we try to keep a full and comprehensive stock of medicines to enable us to respond to patients needs. We have deliveries of medicines from suppliers at least twice a day, however because of the large turnover of medicines per day from time to time this can lead to shortages.
To help us offer you the best possible service during this difficult period of shortages we would ask you to order your medication at least one week in advance,
If you do find that there is a supply problem with some of your medication please do not hesitate to contact the surgery and we can arrange to get a doctor to prescribe a suitable alternative which is available.
Please be assured that as an independent pharmacy we are able to purchase medicines from any wholesale supplier, which means that we will endeavour to obtain your medicines as quickly as we can from most accessible source.
